Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

Today is St. Nicholas Day, which many believe is the source of Christmas as we know it now. To see all about it - and even more - visit this site!!!

A selection of odd-bods from the tail end of Kay's visit (architecture of Glasgow), a new art piece on my end wall, scenery...

This is actually the South wall of Glasgow Central Rail Station... which also happens to have a hotel integrated

Loch Eck...again... what to say? It's one of my most favourite places.

Autumn sunset through my window... note the little fellow bottom right!

Dunoon promenade. An attempt at night photography without a tripod. ...     nyech.....

"Ornamental Facade" was this year's addition to my art collection. I always wished to own a piece of sculpture, but generally speaking they are always outside my budget... and, let's be honest, I have no where to show such a piece off. To find a wall sculpture had me in raptures!

It is on the opposite wall to the huge bay window and changes by the minute as the sun rolls round the globe.

Now then twitchers.... I got all excited mid-October. This crowd showed up on the tips of the beech tree out back. It's a llooooooooonnngg way up. I had to stretch Fudge to the extreme to get the close up below...

...I knew they weren't the usual crows or pigeons. Was fighting against the light a bit, but could see enough to discover...............FIELDFARES! Must have been the first migration into the area. Woohooo.... they have 'red alert' status in the UK, meaning they are at environmental risk. I was thrilled to see this flock which was something in the order of 25-30 birds.

  1. Wow, today is an extra special assortment of photos. That Loch Eck is breathtaking! And the one of the Glasgow Rail Station sort of makes us dizzy as it appears that the building is tilted!

Was it an ordinary birdie or a floating birdie (as my mum would say)?

  14. What beautiful photos. And you sure do know your birds. Jan knows about stretching to try to get pictures. Good thing our camera also has a good zoom cause her arms just aren't long enough.
