Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

It is not without irony that, having posted the plea for all to change to popout box format for comments, that the prevailing issue of delay from embedded comments appears to have been remedied by Blogger!!! However, I am maintaining the popout box for a week, to ensure all is well again... now on to prettier things.

  2. Gorgeous scenery and I must say your roads are better maintained after a snow storm than here in NC. Do you know what method of removal is used or are there several. Here if there is no rain predicted before snow they will spray brine (rain will wash it away) if the snow falls on the brine it doesnt freeze and can be easily scrapped with machinery but then that is only the interstates, beltways and main roads through the city.

The 2nd photo of the statues is quite interesting.

There is no forward planning, such your brining operation. We have 'gritters'; trucks which go along main roads spraying a mixture of sandy grit and rough salt. It failed miserably in our recent storms! On may smaller roads, and in most suburban areas, there are boxes dotted along the way for local folk to throw out their own salt and grit. In the case of these snow roads - they lead to the ski slopes and is there for a commercial necessity for the local council! Many other roads were not so black. YAM xx

  4. Nice shots, mom said if she saw that long curvy, hilly road she would just have to run it. She's weird like that. OK, this was our furst stop on reading blogs so we will see how it goes!

The pups would love to run through all that snow instead of the muddy yard we have here:(
