Menonday Art Vibe: Quilts Galore!

Okay, recall that I attended the big Quilting and Craft show in Glasgow in February. Many of the items on display, as I commented at the time, were definitely artworks to my eye. I bring you those images for the three remaining Mondays of this month. I am not spreading them out one by one because a) there's plenty more art stored up behind it, and b) beyond what is on the available labelling, I can tell you nothing of the artists, so to that extent, one is limited. Suffice it to say, I just think they all look beautiful and worth studying from the point of view of design and stitching skills.

The first image is of a mandala created by many hands - each stitcher did a panel and then they were all brought together into this glory...

"Tread gently on the earth,
Breathe gently of the air:
Lie gently in the water,
Touch gently to the fire."
