  2. The deer reminds me of a monumental deer (I was thinking about it just this morning) high above a baronial style gate to Charborough Park in Dorset. The big one famously has 5 legs but you have to get at a very particular angle to see that. I was told that it was done so that you would in fact see 4 legs at pretty much any viewing angle (rather than 3)

  3. Nice shots - I like the deer. Amazing how some people can capture movement in a thing of stillness.

  4. I want to wander through that first gate photo and see all of this with my own eyes. I giggled a little at the "bullet proof vest" hanging on the wall in one of the last photos. look nothing like now. I thought of that because of the pistols. the details in each photo are just amazing. each one has so much to see

  5. Much to enjoy here, YAM. The deer is perhaps the eye-catcher but there is charm in every picture.

  6. I am sorry you couldn't view the videos! Joe really loves them, so I keep posting them. I work really hard to choose the best thumbnail, as I know some don't have the time or inclination to view them. It makes my happy to catch their behaviour!

  7. Gorgeous shots! Love the wood carved furniture and is it wood on the side of the fireplace or bronze?

That's the fireplace featured in last Thursday's post - so wood surround. But if you mean the grate itself, that's cast iron. The wee figures (Chinese lions) in front of the grate are indeed bronze... Yxx
