Menonday Art Vibe; Henry Kondracki Peeks
The third and last of my introduction to the painting of HK, son of Polish post-war immigrants, born in Auld Reekie, and clearly much in love with it. He also has a deep appreciation of the waters that permeate and surround this Bonny Land. This image, which I screenshot from the online exhibition (linked in the first of these three posts), could be anywhere around the coast, but it is singing to me because I watch trawlers out on the Clyde Firth, sometimes in very choppy waters like this! This is a smaller piece, and within budget, so am considering purchase. Indeed, by the time this posts, I will be over at this year's Annual Open Exhibition at the National Gallery, and I will take the opportunity to ask to see this 'in the canvas' and make a decision...

Marvelous 😍
