First Friday Filmclub

Your Sabaton history fix this FFF is about a small battle that sounds almost improbable. As Indy says at the end of his summary, it is amazing this hasn't been picked up for a movie. It has all the elements of an action-adventure tale. This battle took place on May 5th 1945, just days before the cessation of hostilities in Europe, and makes today the actual anniversary.

Later in Indy and Joakim's post-summary discussion, they move on to matters pertaining to 2020. You may not wish to listen to that bit about rearranging concert schedules and such... but it struck me that this has already become 'history' to the extent that three years ago now feels like a hundred and three, somehow... There is only a lyric video available for the song, which I link here for you to go listen to if you so choose.

    we heard about the castle ...and lots of french vip's who were interned there... we think j. gangl was a hero, sadly he paid with his life.. like so many...

    Wow! Great story, thanks for sharing! Somehow I thought there was a movie, or maybe a TV documentary about the Last Battle as it seems a little familiar....off to research!
