Every now and then, though, the heart goes..."ooohhhhhhhhh....". That's what happened when I stood by this little bronze. It took me right back to childhood and my (shared with ten other kids) Rose Roan pony called, rather unimaginatively, Pinky. The local stables created a kids' collective so that, for a small subscription fee, we all got a weekly ride, with a chance to learn gymkana and point-to-point racing, and to understand what was involved in keeping a horse or pony - so yes, that included all the stall and yard work as well as the animal care. Anyway. All that flooded back when I saw this.

The sculpture is lovely. Happy memories, also.
ReplyDeleteThough I can admire them, I never felt an urge to own any sculpture.
ReplyDeleteDoes look cute 🥰
ReplyDeleteLoved the Sculpture, Beautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sculpture. I especially like the sculptures of the famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović. Kind regards, Jasna
ReplyDeleteÀ lovely relaxed feel of the foursquare pony and young rider. Just waiting ready to go...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sculpture and it brought back happy memories for you!
ReplyDeleteI expect that all those zeroes did not deter you, YAM, and it now sits in the Hutch. 😏
ReplyDeleteThere's something Outback about the composition - a hot day, casual clothes and shoes, headed for a billabong perhaps.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful sculpture, I love it! Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week ahead.
