I count five Tuesdays to the end of the year. 😶. Over the past fortnight, I have gathered photos from each of the different viewing angles I have from the Hutch, and for those five Tuesdays, you are just going to see what I saw during that time... essentially, A WEEK IN THE VIEW OF... (bar the day or two menosoup ensured were missed). To carry out this project, I set the Hisstix at 400 ISO, neutral white balance, with no change throughout, and endeavoured to move the lens to about the same zoom on each occasion. I did not use a tripod, so there will be slight variations in framing.

The last time I saw a sky that colour was in Sydney, just before the mother of all storms hit;
the first of what would become very familiar 'mini-tornadoes,' laden with skin-shredding,
window-shattering, roof-stripping ice balls.
That didn't happen here. Just 48 hours of relentless wind and rain to add to the previous
48 and the 96 before that...

ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting project to play these over the course of a year - stop motion style maybe - like a time lapse I suppose. Here in west wales the sky and tides are everything

ReplyDeleteAs I sat here looking at your view out your window I was thinking that you do what I do. Pay attention to what's outside the windows all of them. Yesterday I had closed all the blinds and the house was dark and Bob came inside and said why do you have all the blinds closed and I said I'm trying to take pictures of the Christmas lights in the dark. And then I thought how do people live in a house with it all closed up because the people across the street from us I have never seen the blinds open ever and I have a friend that every time I go to their house the blinds are always closed. And my mother did the same thing. I think this is a great idea to do the Tuesday show us what you see out your windows can't wait to see more

ReplyDeleteMr B always wants to know what F and I are staring at out the windows.... just looking at outside, colours, textures, movement, life, noises, portents......You captured some great colours even if 'battleship grey' predominates. F calls it Thames Estuary mudflats grey - which is even gloomier, and sticky.
