Anyway. Today, let me introduce you to George Donald RSA. A well-travelled fellow, who expresses his love of India and other places he has lived, as well as for Scotland. I admit that I rather coveted The Blue Door in Udaipur... but didn't act upon its purchase when there. Going back a couple of days later, having determined I wanted to add it to my walls, it was already sold... sigh...
I very much like this artist's work, though most of his pieces are very large. Blue Door (and others in the series) were much more manageable. Anyway, I share a few more of my favourites and leave you to read the relevant blurbs here, as well as visit his web page as linked above. How do you find this work? When you look at the recent exhibition items, are there any that catch your interest in particular?

I rather like the koi pond. Shame your choice sold so quickly.
ReplyDeleteAmazing works, Glad to see The Blue Door in Udaipur painting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for these introductions, YAM. It’s always of interest to see the works of lesser known artists.
ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful , the last three are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Have a great day and happy week ahead.
hummmmm - sadly, I don't think I'm a fan of this artist. If I had to choose one, I'll take Chrysanthemums.
ReplyDeleteWonderful art, colourful and vibrant like India :)
ReplyDelete"On the Beach" really caught my eye, although all of them are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIndia is conspicuous in the 1st painting.
ReplyDeleteI like all those paintings, but if I had to choose it would be "On The Beach".
ReplyDeleteYAM I am into SILLY and look forward to your mix of gaiety and silly and R E D
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia
Hi Yam - all of them are interesting ... the 'One the Beach' one jogged my memory re 'Ophelia' but I couldn't find the actual painting I wanted to ... such is life! I love seeing new works ... your blue door is fascinating ... but I can't get used to Indian elephants v African ones!! Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI love your choice and the mums, and would hang either or both on my walls.
