Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms
Our last January baby is Giacinto Scelsil, born on the 8th of January in La Spezia, Italy. Yes, the eighth is just a skip outside 'first week', but I really liked his use of a single tonality and the play with pitch variation on it. The piece I have chosen here echoes something of the Renaissance chant you heard earlier, would you agree?

This is entirely another kind of music for me, something I'm hearing first time. I should say I made an effort to enjoy it 😊

Reminds me of my dad getting ticked off when we had to sing yet another Violet Archer song. He called her Violent Archer! I spent many years singing in choirs with my parents! XX
