Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms

Our last January baby is Giacinto Scelsil, born on the 8th of January in La Spezia, Italy. Yes, the eighth is just a skip outside 'first week', but I really liked his use of a single tonality and the play with pitch variation on it. The piece I have chosen here echoes something of the Renaissance chant you heard earlier, would you agree?

  1. This is entirely another kind of music for me, something I'm hearing first time. I should say I made an effort to enjoy it 😊

  2. Oh wow! Not sure I would want to go to a concert if that sort of music was featured. LOL! I would go to one with the renaissance chants though...

  9. Reminds me of my dad getting ticked off when we had to sing yet another Violet Archer song. He called her Violent Archer! I spent many years singing in choirs with my parents! XX
