Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms

The final birthday for this month belongs to Gyorgy Ligeti, born on the 28th of May, 1923, in Transylvania, Romania. This composer covered everything, from neo-classical to truly avant-garde (as in guard your ears!) This short sonata leans more towards the first of those, and I think you will appreciate it, as I did.
