The first offering is from the feel-good, mood-raising movie Sister Act. The hymn for Mary The Blessed Virgin is given an up-tempo vibe that is hard not to smile at. Little more to be said about it, really, except that watching this clip made me want to watch the movie all over again!
This Is a good movie
ReplyDeleteHi Yam - excellent - I'd forgotten the Alleluia part ... fun to see - while Maggie Smith has such an expressive face ... and I loved seeing Whoopi conduct her choir ... and yes like you - a film to see again. Cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteit was something really from heaven...
ReplyDeleteI just watched half of this movie this past week and the part I watched included this song. I love both the Sister Act movies but the first one best of all
ReplyDeleteOh dear what a fun memory seeing this clip from Sister Act.

Great fun! I love some of the singers' facial expressions.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched that movie in ages. It is a good one!
ReplyDeleteGreat song - I wish our choir was capable of rocking the church like that but sadly the choirmaster is rather more traditional - and it looks like I am going to miss the carol festival this year - train strike - I wasn't singing anyway (arrived back a bit late so was signed up for a reading instead), but it is good to go to at least one carol concert before Christmas. xxx F (and Mr T)
ReplyDeleteNice! The movie doesn't seem to be available here on YouTube. I will have to look elsewhere if it's available.
