Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms
This one is going to challenge a few of you. It is definitely for the advanced musical ear - but that is not to say it is harsh or totally without charm. On the contrary, I found this particular piece (I listened to quite a few!) soothing and fitting to the December mood. Give it a go and tell me what you think. It's by this week's birthday boy, Zoltán Kodály (16th December, 1882, Kecskemét, Hungary).
