WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-now-views

Hari OM - Have made the decision to move the weekly photo-only posting into the Tuesday spot in place of Menolooping.  Doesn't mean there won't be menoloops to come, but am not making a feature of them now.  Putting the pictures here will keep the two regular spots together and then if any continued feature (such as starts tomorrow) is there, then interruption is less…. well… interruptive!

Enjoy these snaps of the monsoon.

  1. Love the smiling man under the brolly. I just misread the line above the comments box as 'Thanks for dripping by'!
Can you believe I saw three sprinklers out in gardens this evening. In Aberdeen!
    Cheers, Gail.

  3. I'm still giggling about "Thanks for dripping by."
We used to think we had monsoons on the west coast of Canada, but now I see they were only heavy rains.
Here in southeastern Alberta, the ground doesn't absorb water very quickly, so a sudden rainstorm can mean a flash flood on the street, sometimes creeping up over the curb.
I've been in tropical rainforests, but I've never seen a monsoon.

Bertie/Gail...HAH! now I can't type for giggling! - that's my kid-bro' Kamlesh (PhD Astrophysics, now Vedantin extraoardinaire). ... a 'dry' Aberdeen - now there's an idea to play with...

Mahal - as usual WE know nothing!

Kay - I'm a bit used to monsoonal type climates - Nigeria, Australia, Scotland.... well maybe that last is more snowsoonal, but still. In OZ it's pretty much as you describe - all or nothing and many flash floods. Here it is long, deep and steady and very beneficial to the earth. Beautiful.
