What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menorise [men-oh-rIse]; the condition of inculcation

Remember, when all else fails, simply radiate that Love with the capital 'ell'

One of the ways I 'process stuff' is to write OR to create through colour and form.  Mandalas are an ancient focus and visual prayer methodology which has only one strict rule; everything must be contained within the circle.

Nowadays, that has been stretched a bit for artistic purposes, but one can always tell a mandala from a standard artwork by repetition of theme and there will always be a single point of focus.  Once created, they ought to be meditated upon to still the mind and quell the heart.

Highly intuitive, one does not have to be any kind of 'artist' to create these.  Until this year I have always produced mine by hand.  However time and materials constraints resulted in my looking around for an alternative.  I now use this free site **to produce the templates and sometimes to colour.  They can be downloaded to print off or colour within another program.

To view the whole range so far, pop over to YAMandalasope - warning - some will send you into a spin!!!

**NB - this may be a dedicated Chrome Browser app, but I am sure there are other such places out there in the ether!

  1. So beautiful. I considered going to the free site to try to make my own, but I'm not artistically creative. I did have a bit of fun with Rabbie Burns today, though.

Oh Kay, as I mention, you need not be artistic for mandala work - and that free site is absolutely fool proof! Go on, have a go &*> Well done on the Burns too! YAM xx
