For once I am not giving you animals and awwwwwsome things like that. I was quite sentimental sharing my visit into Ipswich Town with Aitch so I continue to share it further with you...
As you will have gathered, it was neither the brightest nor warmest of days - indeed lights were required at all times. I ought to have used the flash in a few places, including on this little 'vignette' from a stunningly carved medieval doorway. It is blurry because I wasn't sensible enough. But still worth the showing.
No longer the Post Office, of course; still an imposing building. As is the Town Hall - and the creative Christmas tree...
Apparently this is very controversial. I loved it though and later when it was lit up... (patience!)
British coat of arms in the centre medallion and the 'crown and anchor' displayed either side...
A sampling of the lights...
Having had a hearty lunch, we decided this would be our tea. Trust me, nothing else was needed after this lot!!
Despite not having animals here today, do please take time to visit BOZO and Goose or any of the other animalogues on my list!!

I just hate taking pictures with out sunshine! Add a little stamp of foot and fling of head.
ReplyDeleteI too like the ball christmas tree do show us a photo of it lit up and as for tea it ticked all the boxes.
ReplyDeleteMerle..........
Those old buildings are magnificent and quite imposing. I adore the Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteYour lunch does look very filling but extremely yummy.

ReplyDeleteJoanne - oh yes, I was a tad frustrated; but I better get used to it and adapt!!
Merle - soon, soon, I promise!
SQ - it was way more sweet than I would ever have normally; but special occasions demand stamina &*>
I like that tree, too. Is it all made of lights? Bet it's glorious when lit!
ReplyDeleteDon't tell me, the post office is now in the back of some shop! I hate it when these noble buildings lose their original purpose. As for the cake, I'm drooling here....
