Today is Mac3's birthday. He is nine years my junior. I can still recall walking home from Whitton School for lunch that Thursday in 1968 and being met by 'aunty' Wendy (mum's good friend). I was to go with her and join Mac1 and Mac2 at her place for lunch because our new sibling was being born that very minute - at home in my parent's bedroom!
It was cauliflower cheese. To this day it is still a favourite dish of mine; and Mac3 is a much-loved brother.

Who, in his turn, cuddles a pet...

...then enjoys life in Nigeria for a while...

...attended school in Musselburgh and later graduated as an IT man...
Jade loved him;

the 'Maestro' loves him
...we all love him!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY THAT BOY &*> YAM xx

Happy Birthday Mac 3, clearly a much loved baby brother.
ReplyDeleteYou're scanned the appropriate old pix just in time. Happy birthday to your Mac3.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to get a baby brother when you were nine. Such a perfect age for big-sistering.
ReplyDeleteLuv, K
Hey - dropped by from Pets Always. Love the pics specially the one of Jade :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you certainly have better memories to the birth of sibling than I have. Mine consist of wetting the bed at my grandparents'. Not the best way to welcome a beloved sister into the family I think!
ReplyDeleteOh, and congratulations to him of course (nearly forgot).
ReplyDeleteNo brothers in my family, so I envy you yours, Yam. However, I have 4 lovely sisters and the youngest is celebrating her birthday today (11 years younger than me).
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! My brother is such a pill. Cannot depend upon him. he couldn't even plan enough (i.e. book off work) to get to my son's wedding, in his home province. I traveled 4000km to get there!
ReplyDeleteSorry,... venting!
