WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menosophical [men-oh-soffy-cul]; the condition of waxing introspective

Another of the extracts from a book of interesting tales...

This rang bells with me.  Having given talks and presentations in a variety of different roles and situations, it is my experience that all the prep in the world can only permit one to become flexible 'on the floor' as so much depends on the audience of the moment.

Then afterwards there's the deconstruction...

In life it is the same. Yesterday, today and tomorrow; all that links them is 'me'.

  1. I have been in that situation too with presentations. The lesson can also translate into everyday life when planning what to say to a particular person, saying something different, now wishing other words had been chosen.

  3. These are wise words. Having sat in on many lectures, as giver and taker, as well as 25 years teaching, you can tell when you need to veer! :-)
