WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSunday; life lived easy

Last Sunday you were offered a full-length music peace for chill-out...have decided that first Sunday of each month will be the whole 'album' day.  Rest of the time, snippets.

One of the things I have enjoyed whilst getting to know some of my blogpals is dipping into their occasional musical offerings.  Some are to my taste, some not.  That is the nature of discovery; being offered something, giving it a chance, making a decision. Even siblings and best mates may have differing tastes.  It is good to stretch out and sample new stuff.

Mine is an eclectic taste when it comes to music and am not without my own favourites in the rock and roll genre.  Good music will always be good music, regardless of the time in which it was generated and the style it represents.

I first saw Jethro Tull live some 30 years back; they were included in the Edinburgh Festival and it was one of the most amazing concerts I have ever attended; generous, organic, inclusive, this band ever reach out to their audience.  I went along again when they played Edinburgh, not long before I left for Australia.  Then there was the chance to see them in Sydney...except it never happened, due to Ian Anderson falling ill on the preceding leg of the world tour.  He's fine now. Known for a distinctive flute-playing style, Ian has, in recent years, joined a number of classical orchestras and musicians for fusion sessions. Found this one on our friendly tubular station.

Hope your Sunday is rocking!!!
