What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-Now-Views; Museum Moments part the second

..what? Just dropped in from Beta-Gamma-Ninth-from-Then??? Click back one post to catch up!

There was a great deal which was random about the museum. Let us not forget here that it is put together and maintained by volunteers. Amateurs.  I don't mind going to am-dram shows.  Strewth, have even been part of several.  So all kudos to them.

A duster would not go amiss though.

There was some kind of order. Not necessarily chronological. Scatalogical is a term which would fit very well here.  Part of the fun was actually trying to get the 'flow'.  Then letting go of the idea that there was one.

Today I share with you some of the odds and ends spotted. Here's one for the Whovians among you. Another of the Grammar School alumni.

This light up map was a bit of fun, showing all the ancient activity in the area.

...almost more than there is now...

The next two will interest the letters folks among you.

There was a lot about Harry Lauder, who made Dunoon his home for quite some time and a significant amount of space given to matters electrical and, of course, shipping.  The photos from these (which were any good given the difficult lighting challenge) will turn up over at TAKE blog. ... a special post tomorrow for dear Bertie and Gail then another for my good pal Aitch on Monday.

To round off today, a cabinet with sailmaker's implements to honour this shipping connection and a model of cattle being shipped from mainland to island for grazing.  A practice not so distant in history...

I know what you mean about the amateurs. I suppose it is better than nothing remembered at all.
