WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menorise [men-oh-rIse]; the condition of inculcation

Nothing is ever as it seems.  We look and we assess in a split second.  That can be a split second which gives us everything, or takes it all away.  It can be a split second that decides staying or going.  It can be the split second in which life transforms.

So much hinges on it.  This very now.  Is it not incumbent upon us to ensure our split second is the clearest and purest we can make it?

Remove all idle thoughts.  Release the past and leave
tomorrow alone.

Be present.

Be pure.

Be clear.

Make this split second count.

(A repost of an early Menorise... It also sometimes pays to revisit!)

  1. Oh, you're so right. The past is gone and the future may never come. I don't know if I have mastered the art of living in the moment, but I continue to try because I believe it is the right and only way.

  2. That really chimes with me after the events of this week, Yam and DH and I will be trying to hold on to living this way.

  3. Happiness depends on letting go of the past and looking forward to the future but not depending on it to fit all you woes.
