What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menolyrical; Words for Words' Sake

In Final Days...
Dharamshala Cemetery, Himachal Pradesh.

...Are there things we will remember
of time well spent
together on sojourns o'er hill and dale?
Shall we sigh at bright chances missed
and laughter shared
at risky behaviours - beyond the pale?

Youthful arrogant hours unseen;
can it be said
the oil was burned till t'was bittered and brown?
Will we chatter and reminisce
without regret
before, in final days, lay we heads down?

  1. We should all try to live so that there are no regrets... or at least as Few as Possible. RIGHT?

  5. This is gorgeous. We have no regrets, despite meeting only in 1999! We live each day as it is. I try not to anticipate his prostate cancer returning. The appointments, we're up to #33, are terribly draining. We live in the present. I try not to horriblize.
