I had quite the difficulty deciding what to wear as chaPAWrone.  As a rule, when not out and about, I am in my 'study whites'... but the other dominant colour in the wardrobe is - well - see for yourselves.

What is a chaPAWrone, you ask? Well, that is a person who is responsible for ensuring that one or a number of others are kept in order. That is to ensure their comfort and enjoyment and to protect them from any 'infringements' of etiquette. The chaPAWrone can also act as partner to those who lack such for dances and conversations, within the environment over which they have some influence.

Often it is a more senior member within the social group, who holds some level of responsibility other than the event in action. Indeed, it can be an aunty!!!

Part of the duties of the chaPAWrone is to boost confidence of those whose esteem is wavering, aid in mentoring and to ensure that all pawtnerships are polite and 'above board'... in short, to keep an eye on things...

So see you on the red carpet efurbuddy and let's all have safe, warm, happy fun.  Remember "Love" has a capital 'ell' (did you read this post???)
