Is it?!
'Is this Friday?' I ask myself
and you
the one who came expecting words
found none
but stayed enough to see the question
...still here?
It was, y'see, a week much quick
not slow
at all and full of tasks begun
then done
satisfaction guaranteed - well -
for me!
An ordinary life has been lived
(and slept!)
then a day sprang forth, demanding;
Seven days
it has been since last you wrote.
...oh well...

Written whilst in process of moving continents last year... well, moving between - the continents are still where I left them...
It kinda fit the state of things this week as I catch up on myself. With so much time spent over in Edinburgh beginning the year, the creative writing 'ball' has been dropped, possibly punctured. Now on running repairs. Very, very, long way to go.

Oh my, do I know that feeling; so many pressing things...
ReplyDeleteWhen WE drop a ball.... we want it to be THROWN fur us....

DeleteYes, guys, that's part of my trub... tend to keeping throwing my own ball! Yxx
The run of boards looks like my deck. Personally, I think pressing things at hand should be given attention. What is dropped can be recovered, regathered.
ReplyDeleteBertie Boffin would like to point out that the continents are in fact a centimetre or two either closer together or further apart (depending on their plate tectonic aspect) than a year ago!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck in getting back to the creative writing. Whenever is materialises, we look forward to the results.
Cheers,
Gail and Bertie.

DeleteBrwwgwgwgwgwgwgwgwaaaaa.... Oh Bertie lad, that is a fair point - but thankfully I can say that at least I had nothing to do with that movement. Well... not in my current form anyhoo...
FFHT is on the way!!! Yxx
Time for a bit of 'Me' time Yam Aunty, slow down and get those creative juices flowing again

Deleteyou put your paw right on it your Cuteliness... and the past two days have been beavering away at the essentials (per Joanne's comment), so that the next few days can be spent on the artful! Yxx
I am sure the creative writing mojo will soon return in full swing. We sometimes have to put one thing aside to deal with another as after all, we are only human.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you are not at all guilty re the movement of those tetonic plates although at times they can cause somewhat of a problem to mother Earth.

DeleteIt's not so much the 'mojo' - actually have got a pile of 'threads' to work on - as the hours per day quotient... sigh... Well Grandad used to say about his pudgy wee grandaughter "och aye, she's got a fine hold on God's good earth!" ...but even I would have trouble moving mountains! Yxx
Oh well >>>>>> that seems to sum it all up!! Take time to chill, Aunty. Sounds to me as if you need a bit of ME time!! Whoops I see the Princess already said that!!
ReplyDeleteI used to be so joyful at the end of a full week of accomplishments. Give yourself permission to relax! Caregiving is a horriblly difficult endeavour.
