What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
Hari OM Good question! Yes, every month has ides... in most months that would be the 13th day as we now know it; but four times a year it is the 15th and March is one of those. The Romans measured months by the nones, ides and kelands (think about that last one...!) and these were based on the phases of the moon... &*> Helpful little b***** aren't I??? Y xx
.....tsk that should be 'kalends' not kelands..... but still, you get the connection I hope...
Might also mention that the ides of March had nothing any more special than any other month except for their mention by Will the Shaker of Speares who wrote them into myth in his retelling of Julius Ceaser... okay I'll stop now...
I jumped on my bad like a rubber ball at 2:39....my mom had no clue that I'm a fan of classical music... she has a lot to learn about Weimaraners :o) easy rider
We have heard that we are supposed to BEWARE the IDES OF MARCH... butt we just wonder if there are IDES of April????????
