Menolyrical; Words for Words' Sake

Solarite

Is't the moon we spy up yon?
Cloud, like blankets, wrap'd upon;
Cannot be -
for t'is day y'see -
And surely this is Sun.

Thro' dreich skies sleeket wi' rain
Now we know the sun again,
As it peers
thro' a veil of tears,
With pearly, wispy mane.

Having seen thro' its disguise
We shake our heads, wipe our eyes;
Yellow not,
Neither is it hot
Yet still it reigns the skies.

      what a shame! sounds like the same as we had here with the recent eclipse...which this photo is about - I missed it completely and this shot was taken about an hour after 'the event' just as the cloud started to clear....sigh....

      Lucky princesses deserve moons - or at least guypals who think enough of them to present one! Yxx

  4. It seldom happens in Perth that the cloud is so dense that the sun becomes moonlike.
    Speaking of moons...many years ago (probably about 30) my #2 granddaughter was at our home and there was a full moon. I looked up and said to her "there's my moon" "No grandma" she said "it's my moon". I explained that the moon at our place was my moon and the one she saw at her home was her moon. Funny how things remain with us. She and I still talk about her moon and my moon. Just one of those delightful little things we share with children over the years. xx
