WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menory Lane; Picking up on MacHistory proper

This blog purports to be a 'menomoir'. Certainly it has served as 'journal' and that in turn will serve as menomoir... at some point in future. There have been proper memory entries though. It is time I got back to sharing more.

However, there are quite a few new readers here, as well as it having been so long a break even for the old hands. Therefore, today, rather than rushing straight in, links to key posts are going to be given. (Apart from anything else this will help to focus the menosoupal one...) Not everyone enjoys biographies, so feel free to bypass all of these; it is worth noting though, that these few posts will at least set in context what follows.

Well that's the plan, anyway...

For those who actually do enjoy biography, understand that due to the nature of meno, the process so far has been a bit scattered "~) ... to cover all the territory, see Nigeria and Africa labels for everything pertaining to the Dark Continent; for early life see Schools and Menory Lane; for initial tour of OZ see the WBL labels. For the Blogvillagers interested in my 'pet' history, the label for you is The J's. The following links are events post-Nigeria and give a more direct narrative leading into adult life.

That's putting it into some kind of order.  The following two are little separate items but which both fill in a bit. The first is a follow-up to the WBL series. The second is important as it pertains very much to the basic thread of my life (those who may have clicked 'the miracle' link last week will have already seen this).

Right... now I am committed to continue! I can bore myself, so feel free to yell STOP at any time.

  1. The blogs do serve as a great memory aid - when you move a lot especially all over the world it really helps.. i must admit though - the older I get the less inclination I have to record any memories about myself - mainly because I have no family apart from my husband and therefore no one who would really interested in my past life :)

Well there is that... but I know that I enjoy reading about all my blogpals' stories and judging by Joanne's comment below, there are a few who are at least interested in this one!

I tend to think of it in terms of social history also. Much of our history we know from the written records and journals of ordinary folks... in this modern age we are left with pixels and clouds! Yxx
