FIRST THINGS FIRST... DID YOU SEE MY INTERVIEW AT "JANS' FUNNY FARM"???
On other matters...The whole passport business and researching flights has influenced this week's selection of funnies...
...okay that last one isn't funny - just a point of focus...

Hey, thanks for being such a fun interviewee. We enjoyed getting to know you.
ReplyDeleteCute post and funnies. I think it is ridiculous the extra fees the airlines are charging. I hope everything works out for you! Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteBOL! Love the funnies! Yes, we did see the interview and we left a comment saying we wanted to know something that was NOT asked. We have always wondered what your accent sounded like?

DeleteMy accent?.... bit of a verbal chameleon due to so much travel - essentially a very neutral undertone, coloured by where I am and with whom I am talking; I noticed the other day that the Scottish accent is pretty much back in place - but if I talk with friends in OZ my aussie falls right back in - and after extended periods in India and Indian company, as well as speaking Sanskrit and Hindi, there is a Mumbai tinge also.... In my head, it is always Aussie... &*>
It sounds as if it might be interesting for you to do a short audio with all your accents. That would be neat. :)

Deletespooky bumps (or, if you prefer, great minds think alike) - I was pondering the possibility of putting a vid together on something with me narrating.... watch this space!!! Yxx
Yeah, what Murphy and Stanley said. We imagine you have a nice Scottish accent.

Those are great! Mom told us a story of when she was a commercial pilot. There was one female maintenance technician that was a practical joker, and who mistakenly admitted she was afraid of the mice in the hangar. Mom and her copilot brought her out to the aircraft with a verbal notification about a possible (maintenance) write up for "nest of rats" they found in the bay near the hydraulic pump. They then took one of those wind up balls with the long furry tail from the airport gift shop (you now what I'm talking about) and as the technician came on board, Mom turned it on and flung it down in the darkened aisle of the empty plane and yelled "Fred, I got one of them" and grabbed the rotating fur ball, both of then then shoving it in a sack and wrestling it to the floor. Mom didn't think the maintenance tech could jump that high, nor the top of a seatback support that weight Fortunately, being a practical joker herself, the tech was beside herself laughing when she realized what had happened.

ReplyDeleteI wish the Bonny Land wouldn't need such a long car trip (on the wrong side of the street)... I think I would feel like the guy in the good start picture lol

I have been meaning to share the link to the story about the woman who was found guilt of manslaughter for helping ducks. I had forgotten that 2 people died in that accident. Here is one of the stories: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/quebec-woman-found-guilty-after-cyclist-passenger-died-while-she-helped-ducks/article19258695/
ReplyDeleteLotsa fun! You make me laugh. xx
