WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-no-ready

Well, things are going along in Edinburgh not quite as planned, but nonetheless enjoyable.

Arrived Wednesday evening and caught up with the father's news. Thursday dawned and arranged to go over to Mac2's place for a chinwag before then heading back to The Braidburn Inn to connect with Brom, Mara and her family.

We had a lovely meal together and Brom was looking very, very, very, smart in his kilt and sporran! I have a photo - but of course haven't uploaded it yet... and anyway, the honours of photos ought to go to Brom himself, so I am sure you'll be seeing plenty of those very soon. Mara would have got back to Norway on Saturday evening. As there was mention of something in the order of 2000 shots (with still two days to go), it might take a day or two to get those flowing to you!

At time of writing, still haven't got organised with booking tickets for Fringe shows...tsk... Whilst Thursday had been a glorious day, it all collapsed overnight and Friday was wet and miserable and just wasn't inclined to wander out and about the city streets with the milling crowds.

Went over to visit Mac1 and the Maestro instead.  We had a lovely girly afternoon. Saturday was spent with us all over at Mac2's again, helping her get more of her sorting and unpacking done. This moving cities is a challenge; especially with the tendency to hold onto 'stuff' as she does. A heap got sorted for moving on... to the charity shops and council tip... (No yard to have a sale from at her place, more's the pity!) Some of the 'stuff' landed in the Little Ren. Oh dear. Useful stuff though. Honest.

Anyhoo, that's all to say that "me-no-ready" to share much of Edinburgh with you here today. Wonder what tomorrow will reveal? Meanwhile, as I prepare this, father has put a show on the telly from BBC Alba with a Scottish folk group I used to go and watch in my before-OZ days. Here they are with a song which I used also to sing.  It's all about a lass whose love is away at sea and is something of a rogue. Classic. "Oh boatman, will you no return to me?"

  8. I got the photos all sorted in only 1 day, so am happy with myself. Brom is writing the posts as we speak, but is doing a good job.

Have a great time with family and I hope you will be able to catch some of the shows at the Fringe.
