Menoreviews... from a show or two

You won't have missed the fact that I am in Edinburgh and that a key purpose is to attend some of the Fringe Festival. The first item attended was on Tuesday, with Neighbour M as company.  We watched the Pipeline Theatre present a most moving and wonderful play called SPILLIKIN. Here is their own promo to give you a taster...

Cannot sing praises high enough for the scope and challenge of this play. Any who have been touched by Alzheimer's and who wonder at any usefulness of robotics will find this riveting. The performances were excellent and, as befits a fringe show, the venue snug and friendly. Neighbour M and myself were front row and subsequently almost part of the 'stage', which made things even more immediate. Truly wonderful experience.

Wednesday evening found us at a music and movement show; 4X4 EPHEMERAL ARCHITECTURES. Here was ballet and artistic juggling/circus combined. Another outstanding experience but in a totally different way.

Hope you enjoyed these wee glimpses into some of the artistry of the Edinburgh Fringe....  Two more shows to attend. Report to follow!!!

  1. I would have loved to see some of the shows, but we already had such a full program! Perhaps next year, if I don't have other plans!!
