What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSunday; Life Lived Easy

First Sunday of September. Wow.

Evening Primrose

One of the very first CDs I bought (once I got over having to let go of cassette tapes), was a recording by the Tallis Scholars of William Byrd's Mass for Five Voices and Mass for Four Voices. A value disc with both these on it. I have played it fairly constantly over those 25 years... yes, it could well have been added to the desert island discs...

Couldn't find a single vid with them on, so bringing you them both in separate frames. Go on, pour that second cuppa, settle back with your favourite huggy and drift on the spirit of sound...

UPDATE - apologies, have only discovered now 'live' that this first one requires you to go to the tubular to listen - hope the sound of the second vid will encourage you to do that! Yxx

A blessed and peaceful Sunday to you all... YAM xx

  5. Interesting that the video owner requires playback on their site. Mind you, with all the theft in the world...
I thought that a view, even on your site, for example, counts for the ranking. Who knows??!!

  6. Mind you, I would say that the first video wasn't posted by the Tallis Singers, and Ewa has used a recording she bought...

Hi Jenn... this happens occasionally and is not to do with copyrights, but rather to drive folk to that specific channel with hope of increased traffic! That's fine, but trouble is one doesn't find this out until one's own post goes live; when embedding everything looks as normal... hey ho... That's one thing I really like with Vimeo - if the owner doesn't want embedding, it just doesn't provide the code. Anyhoo - hope you enjoyed the music regardless &*> Yxx
