What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSunday; Life Lived Easy

Last week I mentioned the Nigerian connection. The music then was specifically so. This week's connection is not, perhaps, what you were expecting! Paul McCartney &Wings brought out an album called "Band On The Run"... hands up all who remember it?! How many, however, knew that all but one song on the album was recorded in Lagos, Nigeria? It was about 18 months before the MacLeans got there, but Nigeria is a place where such things live long in memory. The expat community is not large and - well - just imagine small town grapevines and things... (there's a good write up on the wiki'd pages if you're interested.) So here, without further ado, is another memory blast for you.

Hope you managed to get outside your four walls today!

  6. Hand up here. I even bought the album, but had no idea it was recorded in Nigeria.
Bertie and I got outside our four walls today, and went for a beautiful long walk in the Correen Hills, glorious views of Aberdeenshire in the warm (yes really!) and bright sunshine.

    1. PS No soon as I'd clicked the 'play button' then up popped an ad asking "over fifty and single?" Clearly a certain demographic listens to Wings….

The Sun has been trying its best, but failing this side. As long as the sky clears for the early morning moon show, I'll be happy... Yxx
