MenoSunday; Life Lived Easy

AS you will pretty much gather by now, my musical tastes cover quite a wide range; but there is no doubt that the bulk of interest lies with early music. Some time ago I had been introduced to the sounds which would have graced the court of Eleanor of Acquitaine. The time of the true troubador.

  1. This tells us that you have a real understanding of music. Mom took a music appreciation course in college and learned to appreciate many different types.

  6. I have quite eclectic taste so I had a wonderful surprise when my best girlfriend got me an ipod thing with hundreds of songs on it. But I laugh, because she throw a few in there, not that I'd like them, just to make me laugh. Like cruising down the freeway to Vivaldi when the next song is Cher singing "Gypsies Tramps and Thieves".

  7. Varied taste here, although I know that music is not such an important part of my line as it is for some, and early music is not top of my personal list. But I did enjoy this morning's offering - thanks! Last night I went with a friend who had a spare ticket to see the Scottish Chamber Orchestra play Schumann and Brahms at the Music Hall - very enjoyable indeed.
    Cheers, Gail.

  8. I must admit I listen to a bit of everything - from Medwin Goodall to Frank Sinatra, didgeridoo music to pan flutes, Queen to Vivaldi - music is the breath of my soul :)

  9. it's just great! I love it so much :o) I enjoyed it to visit a medieval evening once where they had much more of this great kind of muzak (life music, food, costumes & all zip&zap). Even Easy liked it, he started to sing along with the guys :o)

  10. Although I love Greensleeves I much prefer something a little more recent. Beethoven and the like and of course music of the 40s 50s and 60s.
