WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menologue; The OZ Venture

As we drove back into the Gold Coast 'burb of Surfer's Paradise, it remained murky - but we took a little 'scenic' route via some of the more interesting buildings of the area. Surfer's boasts significant numbers of hi-rise, including the tallest building on the whole coast... for now.

Really loved this tiled wall, echoing the pattern of the windows on the nearer building.

The next one, though, gives me the spins even from the photograph!

The tallest one - for now - has one of those supersonic elevators and rotating restaurants at the top.

What's with that??? I get vertigo just looking UP the thing...

Next we drove round some of the waterfront areas. Weather against us on that one.

On Sunday morning, it was time to move on. Before leaving the unit, managed to get the self-timer to work... Then my hosts drove me up to Brisbane Roma Street Train Station. It was a two and half hour trip up to Cooroy, where my next host, Meena, collected me and drove me to her Noosaville home.

We had to pass through the Glasshouse Mountains, and through some great wee towns which even had spas called as Amar-Shakti (Immortal Power) despite the echo of twanging banjos... notice the weather... until we get to Noosa

Noosaville is a created canal-system settlement. This is Meena's backyard...
