June 12th, BAR closes
Whilst quite a few had departed, there was still a goodly gathering in the morning. There was lots of chitter-chatter about blogs and blogging and how much fun had been had. There was only really one thing left to do as a full group though, and that was the friendship ceremony. Then as many last-minute snaps as pawssible...
REALLY???
IT'S ALL OVER???
....Oh my word, how could I have gotten this far through without sharing the Crabby Girls with you??? They were an absolute delight and joined in as much as they could - which was quite a bit really! I loved feeling them on my hands...
You can see and read about the girls' adventure on their page at Sarge's blog... don't forget to click forward on newer posts to capture all their fun at the BAR! Here are some beauty shots...
The other thing I managed was a sneaky-peeky-piccie of Oreo and the flat hill guys, Frankie and Ernie, and their mama Lana - she doesn't like having her face in photos, but I couldn't resist this one!!!
Diana and Oreo had to leave after lunch too...
I had really loved their company and it was a teary farewell!
After clearing the area, I rode with Cecilia and Bryan (Madi's pawrents - Madi posted heaps about the BAR experience, so keep clicking forward on her bloggy) - back to the trailer park to sit with the doods and the Canadians and Dory and Arty and their mum Beth... (who has her very own blog separate from Dory's). It was a lingering kinda afternoon, so the photo became a lingering kinda panorama! (Clicking should biggify it for full effect.)
Then it was time to say the final BAR farewells and travel safes - particularly pertinent for the Canadians... Zaphod decided he might be better at the wheel if they were to get back in one piece...
IT WAS NOT, HOWEVER, THE LAST DAY FOR THE YAMSTER... OH NO... THE MENOTRIPSICAL WILL CONTINUE!!!
I had the most amazing time for that first five days in the States and am very much grateful to all who made me feel so welcome and for all coming together for such a fun and meaningful time. Had it not been for the BAR I may never have shifted my bones that way... and it would have been a lack in life!
