This is just a teaser post as in fact, whilst you read, my visitor and I will be on the road up in the North West of the Bonny Land.
The lady visiting me is Kay Davies, who has the Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel blog. All the way from Canada, Kay was, if memory serves correctly, my third ever follower when I got the Meno blogs up and running. She is a lady who is approaching her 70th birthday and she has been talking about doing this visit to Scotland for all the time I have known her - and no doubt even before I knew her!!!
It is not easy, for Kay does have health issues, but with lots of cajoling and determination, she is finally making this journey which has been so dear to her dreams.
Am writing this on Sunday last. The bed is made in waiting. All being well Kay arrives/d Tuesday evening. We set off Wednesday morning and will/have meander/ed up the coast road and across the minch to Skye. This being Thursday, we are heading up via Lochcarron to Ullapool, where we will spend two nights - but tomorrow is planned a driving round trip up to more Northerly regions. We drive back to Dunoon on Saturday then I see Kay into Glasgow on Sunday, where she will spend a night before the early train South to her English connections. As things stand on this, the Sunday of writing, the weather is set to be half-way decent too - though don't hold breath on that one.
That's the plan. Wish us - and Li'll Ren - well... Toot toot!!!
