What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSundays; Life Lived Lovingly

Going on a road trip, sharing rooms and twenty four hours a day with someone who is, to all intents and purposes, a stranger, is something most folk would think twice about. Not the YAMster! When Kay first visited my blog nearly four years ago now, she quickly cottoned on to my being Scottish and when I came to live here, her desire to visit became obvious very quickly. I encouraged her from time to time (as I would to any of my readers!), that it is a fine and safe place to visit.

It took all this time and quite some planning, but the lady got her wish. She has just lived her dream (or most of it, anyway).

This took heart, it took determination, it took discipline and it took Love. Kay stated, very clearly, that had it not been for me, this trip would not have happened for her. I was a little inclined to brush this aside, but on reflection, I quite understand. Approaching her 70th year and having considerable health challenges, she needed to know she was indeed coming to a place of safety and understanding. That she felt she had found that, speaks volumes to the energy behind the capital 'ell' - that certain, indefinable 'something' which sets up a level of trust, even if that seems to go against all rational thought.

I applaud my dear blogpal for finding her courage to live out the dream. Sharing that time together was not only an honour for the host, but fun and joy also. Love steadied the wheels of Little Ren, it brought the best of autumn, it showed in kindnesses and courtesies from many we met along the road, and revealed itself in little discoveries which could never have been planned.

Love shone everywhere as we travelled our short time in close company. We were blessed beyond any words which can be put here.
