Harvey's the name. Harvey Doubleooh. Pleased to make your acquaintance.... look into my eyes...
Aw heck, you got all bleary. .... whatdya mean 'camera shake'??! ... well maybe. The YAMster did go all weak at the knees when she spotted me. She was on walkabout with Mac1 a couple months back (no not the BIG walk... the little shopping-centre-before-the-movies walk). I saw her walk past and put on my 'fizzler-eye-pinner' stare. That's it above. I tell you, her head actually spun 180'. Okay, maybe only 87'.
Mac1 pulled her away. "Step away from the bear" was overheard by every toy on the stand.
Then she reappeared. I tried again with the FEP. She picked me up and - oh giddiness - what a hug! Mac1 came and took hold and grinned and put me back on top of the boxes. Then the YAMster came for that third look. I knew I had her then. I fell into her arms. We got to the checkout and I heard her ask the lady "How much is this bear from the window"... oh okay, not the window bit, but she actually got a price check on me. WTB??!!! If I had been a penny more than her purse would she have put me back on the shelf - or would she have begged or borrowed??? Don't know. Doesn't matter. The price made her squeal like a six year old. "Oh, he's mine!!!"
... and that, m'dears, is how its done. New home. Comfy seat. A bunch of stuffypals. Life is sweeeet.
This post is dedicated to the other bear in Blogville, Brom in Norway (with Mara and the divine Miss Oswin).
