G'day! Yes, I'm an Aussie. YAMster found me on her brief visit back to Sydney between leaving India and shifting to the Bonny Land. It was October. You met quadruplets earlier, the Pinkoes? Yeah well; I'm a pink ribboner too. I am about 12" tall and I came in my pyjamas, all ready to snuggle beside YAM at night.
I am the final of the stuffies to post. I was not an impulse buy, like so many of this furmily. Neither was I a rescue. Y'see, YAM's dear old childhood bear, Bonzo, didn't make it through the packing process prior to India. His ancient seams finally exhausted and all his 1950s non-flammable straw filling tumbled out. After the initial heart-lurch, it was accepted that all good things must end. A couple of months later, YAM's mother's seams also finally split and the horrid cancer insured that her non-flammable straw filling gave up. The two+ years on the ashram gave space for processing all this... but within that first week back in OZ, when I was spotted sitting on the stall for cancer research, YAM knew it was meant to be; a memento for mother and for Bonzo. I was the new ted on the bed. I am a 'dressed' female, if you catch my drift. My name is.... Newted (say it fast!)
This final post is dedicated to Bertie and his Gail... but also to any other Blogvillagers who may have missed the pick and for whom there are not enough stuffies at the hutch. Yet.
Oh, we are so touched to have such a special post dedicated to us. Thank you so much Miss Newted! You look so pretty in your pink jammies.
