Menoducational - of sorts

Yes, being slightly lazy this side... but I think you'll like this.

Having not trawled Vimeo for several months, I had a bit a glut on it since I got back. Always something a bit different from your average to be found there! This video was fascinating, not least because I have particular interest in care and enrichment for the sight-deprived... (I developed a hand code system for colours with The Maestro).  The expansion of 'vision' is something we all could learn. Interestingly, and as a complete aside to this, a program I have been enjoying wherein amateurs are vying for 'potter of the year' asked the contestants - in the very same week I found this vid - to throw a dish whilst blindfolded!!! It was amazing what came out of that. Anyway. Enough from me. Enjoy.

  1. So interesting. I know a blind weaver; we put the warp on her loom for years, after he husband divorced her. She was good with the process, but not the set up. Her tools were not so sharp.

  2. Ah this brought back yet another memory to TOGM. When she was in High School they had haunted houses at the fall festival. One year everyone had to put on a blindfolds to enter an event. As the progress through the event they had to stick their hands in different vats and try to identify what was in each vat. One was cold and chunky and nasty...it wasn't raw hamburger but To this day she will only wear cuisine gloves when mixing up hamburger meat.
    Hugs madi and TOGM

  3. Hello, what an interesting video. Amazing artist and artwork. Enjoy your day and weekend!

  4. Wow, how cool is that?!?! And what talent! I used to visit a lady in the nursing home (Annie). She had an adult son who was blind. I got to know him well. I used to pick him up and take him to see his mother each week. He made me understand things I hadn't considered.

  5. OMD it took about 87 seconds fur us to recognize those as SCREW HEADS... That is VERY Interesting.

  6. that is amazing... and I love it to watch such videos... they give hope...
