Advaitic philosophy takes the seeker beyond the limitation of deity, of there being a universal 'architect', and posits that divinity arises from within. Until able to grasp this concept, however, it is deemed appropriate to refer to that divinity with an appellation... and that is what is termed as 'God'. God is not an entity separate from us... the best expression of that divine existence is the infinite joy we know as Love. All who know that capital 'ell' Love, know the divine, whether or not they choose to acknowledge 'God'.
