MenOZiscences - reviewing the Down Under Parts

Another good friend is MyrO. She responded to an advertisement I ran for classes on introduction to Advaita Vedanta some eight years ago. Originally from the Basque region of Spain, MyrO is an absolute delight; a great conversationalist, full of wonderful questions and equally adept at answering any put to her. Also gives some of the best hugs in the universe!

When we organised to have lunch, it soon turned into afternoon tea and would have gone into dinner as well, were it not for Sunday's bus services being very restrictive! Man can we chatter. During our conversation, I learned that MyrO attends a local 'art group' - more of a small social gathering wherein some arty and crafty stuff may or may not happen - on Tuesday mornings. Rarely am I so forward, but just had to ask if I might be welcomed to join in. There was no hesitation. So it was that I saw MyrO again two days later and I was indeed made most welcome by the handful ladies. As far as 'art' goes, it was simple stuff, but the chit chat was fun and extending the time with my friend made it extra special. It was so good in fact, that I was invited to go along again the following Tuesday! How could I resist?

  9. It doesn't have to be fancy stuff. As long as the people are good, that's all that is really important.
