What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek

NB BLOGVILLE - Have been in touch with Bertie's Gail and she and her friend are safe ... despite being in the metro at the time of the bomb. They are now in Frankfurt and very relieved.  Yam xx

Trawling the archives again; today a series of 'beauty shots' of powerlines and pylons... "what's that you say?!" I grew up with them, it was the father's business (elec.eng.); there's a perverse fondness for them.

This first one of a setting sun over Mumbai is fuzzy because I was in a bus moving at speed along the highway... shake, rattle and roll! Also, due to the road-ruffing, added a 'glazing' effect over the top.

That's true colour though. Smog and dust makes for a great photo-filter!!!

The next two are also from India. After that a mix from USA and Scotland.

  1. that must of been so frightening - thanks for letting us know they are safe - there is a kind of beauty in the photo's of power lines but ultimately for all the wonder they bring to our homes - they are still ugly :)

  13. Hubby's family are all into the electricity with 3 EEs in the first cousins. BIL's business is switchgear. So I like them, too.

  14. An amazing series of shots. I like the 'true colour' assertion. I'm afraid for where the US is headed. I'm glad Gail is OK. We're preparing for heavy rains, again. 29mm a couple of days ago, more on the way. Yikes. xx
