What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
This week, the subject I searched was 'compassion'. A number of fine topics displayed, but this one from Berkeley.edu makes for a good and very informative read. Compassion v. Empathy
Yam Aunty thank you for the link it is very clearly written. I try always to have compassion and empathy. I'm sure I fall short sometimes. But I do really try to imagine myself in someone's shoes and how I might feel. I have a very dear friend who has been fighting cancer for 9 years. January she started another grueling chemo treatment for 4 months. She Had a month with no worries...then a terrible rash appeared on her side. She has just finished 20 treatments of radiation which I cannot even imagine. How she marches on. of course she has bad spells mentally and this radiation has taken its toll. She is an inspiration. Hugs HiC

That makes the difference very clear. While empathy is good I think we need more compassion.

Practicing good emotional skill or it more important to be honest about them, and it will help you become a better person.
