Yes, this is another time-warp post... I realised I had not shared with you that I had wee Jock the Jack Russel come and spend time with me in the run-up to Christmas. He is getting the hang of staying with YAM-aunty on a few days of the month. It was especially fun on the Tuesday before Christmas, when he got to snoopervise the making of a present for his mum and the cookerising, as she was coming to share a meal that night.
He was in the door barely 87 seconds when he discovered his present under the tree, but he was a very good boy and didn't pester about it. It did require regular checking, though. Just in case those meeses up on the sofa got at it, you understand!
...oh yeah, you should know that photographing a dog who moves at ballistic and super-ballistic speeds is no task for the timid. Or an ageing camera.
In lieu of those treats, there was one from the regular tin which needed to be deaded and consumed at sub-super-ballistic speed.
Next, keeping the aunty on track with making a giftie was a challenge. The wummin had at least a month to do something, but noooo... leave it till four hours before arrival. Woof@! OKay, what are the materials we are working with here???
Yikes, scissors and glue and tying ribbons in knots? Couldn't you do something that was safe for paws??? Still, the end product was okay. Ish. At least there's a decent frame attached to it...
There's more - but it's coming tomorrow. Why? Cuz I need fillers till I get back to the Hutch and unload any images which may or may not have been taken whilst away traipsing the Bonny Land.
Told ya, it's a scrappy start to the year...

What a lovely gift and wonderful visitor!
ReplyDeleteIt's a Bonny Land and that can overcome scrappy. No one can photograph a Jack Russell who isn't asleep or entranced with biskits.
ReplyDeleteWee Jock is energetic to say the least!
