WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menootanaboot; again - final foray

At last, you are saying. She leaves the Hutch for one day and one day only and it takes six posts to share it! You're still here peeking, though. Thanks for tagging along!

I never did find the label for the wooden deer, so am happy to call them the Hindertwiglets. It just felt a bit surreal, given the stories being told here! (Next week is FFF time again, so a timely reminder, folks &*>)

There were still some items to view in the gardens (called 'woodlands' I've just been reminded by one of my own photographs...)

After that solo wander, I returned to the car and Mac1 drove us down to the beach to go scrumping for scallop shells. Scallops are plentiful in these parts and are hand harvested for the top restaurants in the cities (as well as local). These, though, would simply have been brought up by the tides. Gazillions of shells, mostly intact. Vertible treasure. I now have several and their stories will be told. Once we've left Hindertwig...
All the above happened on the 29th of May. On the 30th, after an easy morning and an early lunch, I departed again. Having parked the car at Portavadie, I had to leave the way I came. The Fudge would not stretch to this shot - it was provided by Mac2! I was back in the Hutch by three p.m. It had been a grand thirty hours away.

Now, here's the thing... I am actually away at the moment. All these posts were scheduled prior to leaving, for a week first with the father in Edinburgh, and then a sojourn Southwards, which you shall be reading about in due course. It will be a 'menoffagainorrhoea' type of event. You've been warned. Not yet though. It will have to wait till I am back.
😄

  12. The shells reminded me of Chesapeake Bay and the way shells were used to pave the paths of the colonial farms and villages. Your adventures are always such a joy to share. namaste, janice xx
