What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

A couple of weeks back on the menokakkuls there were a series of puns on printers... one of them referred to a 3D printing another 3D printer. This may not be as mad as it sounds.

Take a look at this - am not entirely sure whether I am excited by this, or somewhat dismayed... intrigued, definitely. For the full article and the wherefores, click here!

As for the 3D Housing that is quite interesting. The Netherlands is on the cutting edge of so many things.

  2. We saw the same story on the news last night as HiC. Definitely intriguing. My husband wondered if he had a doob made, if they could make him look 30 years younger:) Amazing what those 3D printers can do.

  3. I worked for a company that built concrete apartments, floors of units stacked on each other. The individual apartments were built on flatbed railroad cars in the old carbarns in Akron. They went by train to Baltimore, and were stacked up to a thirty story building. There were about twenty units on a floor. When the units left Akron, they had sinks, showers, wall paper. They were complete, except for toilet, which was stored in the closet and installed on site.

  6. They have been making homes out of shipping containers out here in Vancouver! And they are using them for homeless people. Almost as good as 3-D printing!

  8. I have not seen this video but I have seen the 3 d a lot. my husband's transmitter radio for his airplanes quit working, he narrowed it down to a tiny little part in the back of the radio. I ordered a 3-d made by using the part number. it cost 7.00 and was deliver in under a week, they printed the part and the radio works better now than it did with the oringial. tech is amazin
