WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSundays; Life Lived Lovingly

Today I just wish to offer up gratitude for the network that is Blogville. Lately, it has felt a little less substantive. 'Citizens' have moved on, either over the Rainbow or onto other media. Life moves along. Yet, there is still that connection made for several of us a few years past, as well as the building of new kinships in a widening boundary.

What reinforces the deeper benefit of blogging is the live connection which can come from it. There was the B.A.R. of 2016 in Indiana. There have been 'mini-BARs' among some of the American contingents and over here in the Bonny Land, I have had the honour of hosting Kay from Alberta Canada and Mara from Norway (at that time). Not to mention several visits with Gail and Bertie Boffin!

Then, just this month, there was Kristen and Drew from Quebec Canada. To meet and spend time with people of diverse interest, joyful and keen, adds a wonderful dimension to a life which is basically contemplative and solitary.

I love Blogville. I love the people and their pets who have shared themselves via their blogs and, at times, in person. We are blessed in our connection.

  1. Bravo bravo bravo.....YaYa....you write so beautifully and each and every word expressed our feelings too. These words especially, "To meet and spend time with people of diverse interest, joyful and keen, adds a wonderful dimension to a life".
We miss many that have moved on or have had things happen to keep them away from Blogville. We appreciate those who are still here and take the time to visit us. All make us laugh or think each day and fill us with fond memories...
Hugs HiC and Madi and Bcat too

  3. You always manage to pick the perfect photo for your words. We are so sorry not to have been able to go to that first B.A.R. meetup. So many of our friends were there, but Lightning and some of our Angels did go as flat selves. We too have made some great friendships through blogging and Blogville. Sadly some have disappeared for whatever reason. This summer seems to have been a bit lacking in posts and comments, and we are hoping it has something to do with the time of year. We always enjoy hearing from our pals.

  4. We are blessed to have you as friend here in blogville and
appreciate you taking the time to visit Astro and Mitzie.
It does sadden us when friends leave for what even reason and
our heart breaks each time a friend goes to the bridge.

  7. Bertie and I love our Blogville connections and meeting in the flesh has been a real pleasure. But ten years of blogging has taught us to accept that bloggers blog for all sorts of different reasons and some will move on and the nature of the community evolves with time.
    All the best, Gail.

  8. Those who have gone are not forgotten. When I started my blog 8 years ago I never imagined it would literally take me around the world. Human connection through animals. It is amazing!

  12. It is true, people are moving on, and finding other interests. Reading my friends' blogs has kept me grounded. Some people are simply blogging less.
I have found, when the Black Dog hits, taking photos, looking for critters, finding places to photograph, helps me. It's the best way for me. JB reads my blog to find out where we were, he tells me!
