Today something a little 'avant-garde'. It is here, in part, due to my fascination with how the mind tricks us, but also the philosopher and Vedantin in me were greatly attracted to the concept presented.
"I think nostalgia is very personal"...those few words say so much. This sentence was especially interesting today remembering making banana splits with Daddy...it brought back lots of nostalgia. Hugs HiC
Hi Yam - interesting to say the least .. nostalgia derived from 'pain' or 'ache' ... as is mentioned like homesickness. And as Dora says I'd use it for a more positive take ... happy memories - cheers Hilary
For so many folks the desire to live in the past is like the chains carried by Marley in 'A Christmas Carol'. Tethered to only a memory. I see this in myself at times.

I find most people uses term nostalgia in positive way. But staying past to much does hinder growth.
