WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menocogimatayshun; I's bin thinking...

Don't run away!!!

Nothing scary. Well, not too much. No not at all, really.

It's just that next Friday is FFF time again. There is only a handful of you who have remained faithful to the effort - for which I thank you and have much enjoyed all the contributions.

Usually I would see out the year with such things, but, frankly, my own time seems to have been hit with 'shrinking potion' and I find myself scrabbling to fit in keeping the bloggies going as well as writing for Medium. I am in the throes of making some writing decisions ... don't run away, I said, I'm not going anywhere, please stay!!! It's just that Medium is definitely stretching my little grey cells. I am much enjoying the challenges of writing there. Although there are some similarities to blogging, there are a lot of differences too. It is the necessary next step to improve my output and quality, and I can already see, in ten weeks, that this is happening.

It does, however, require a lot of focus and discipline. What with travelling to and fro Edinburgh as well, I have felt a little out of control in the writing department lately.

I am going to continue FFF here at Wild YAM - but I am going to drop the linky widget (as mostly I have been the one entering names anyway). That one small thing alone will save me mental space, if not a lot of minutes.

I am also, now, going to drop the page 87 prompt. The key reason for this comes from a comment made a few posts back by darling Joanne; "Every picture needs a thousand words!"

You can guess where this is going, can't you?! There's a new 'badge', and I invite all who would like to do so, to share their story posts on the last Friday of every month. Check the FFF rulez page for the updated guidelines.

Most of you, dear readers, use images for your posts. All that is required for the FFF one is a little more observation of a single image, a bit more exploration of what is in it, what it means to you - or complete and total fiction. It doesn't have to be a thousand words, but that's the maximum (in case you find yourself transported away in the process!!!)

I want to make a special thank you to Miss Cecilia (mum of angel Madi) for being devoted to FFF and using it to share some wonderful tales of her own life - please continue! Also, Miss Beth (mum of the LLB gang) for always bringing her Nature Friday posts on Final Fridays into the world of the imagination - keep it up, please! Thirdly, Miss Katty (mum of the Weim-bros) for always bringing the shocks laughs to the FFF - and may they continue; we love Hercule Pawriot and Cap'n Pawstinks! Others have drifted in and out, but you have remained constant and I am most grateful.

Please don't worry if you have it set up already - it is only that I needed to not be thinking of putting in linkies... or finding more books with enough pages! Yxx
